Ice Hockey Section background.... The Ice Hockey Section were formed in 2004 for the world firefighter games in Sheffield where we came 2nd, we then competed in the 2008 world firefighter games in liverpool where we also picked up a silver. We have played in games up and down the country and have recently played in a charity game in aid of help for heroes and the ff's charity against a League side from Peterborough in which we won. As a team we are gaining in size and strength and are made up of players from all skill levels from Elite league standard through SNL , ENL ED1 and ED2 down to Rec level, we are always looking to add to the squad and eventually will be able to have a second team and enter even more competitions. |
We are constantly looking for new players of all abilities apart from absolute beginners to play for an ever expanding side, to play in national games and also International games. We mainly play charity games against other services and armed forces sides and have raised over £15k since 2012, you will need to be registered to a local team in order to play and will have to travel up and down the country.
We have been going since our inception in 2004 and have gone from strength to strength and we need to keep the team going with new players all the time.
